PROJECT ASSURANCE COORDINATOR

We are currently looking for a Project Assurance Coordinator, to work with one of our International Oil and Gas Operating Clients, who are based in Houston.

 

This position is not just an administrative one.  This individual must be a self-starter, Independent and understand process.  Must have excellent communication skills and be flexible.

 

  • Project Management professional to assure all major development projects are planned and executed in accordance with Client's standard project management system (NAMS). Coordinate and facilitate Major Projects department-wide activities.
  • Works with all major development projects to ensure they are utilizing and following the Client Asset Management System (NAMS) for all phases of the project.
  • Coordinates and facilitates health checks to assess projects' preparedness for final investment decision (FID). Manages the health checks from planning, execution, to reporting.
  • Coordinates and facilitates health checks for ongoing executed projects until project completion/close out.

 

Updates and publishes projects' monthly observations logs and charts indicating completed versus outstanding actions required.

 

Maintains the NAMS self-assessment tool for project leadership to utilize.

 

Maintains the Project's assurance action register, tracking, documenting and expediting performance of necessary assurance activities and action items are closed out.

 

Maintains and regularly updates the Major Projects Assurance guidance documents, including the NAMS Roadmap, NAMS Guideline, Project Assurance Activities Guideline, and Project Health Check Process.

 

Facilitate Lessons Learned workshops and administer the lessons learned database/library.

 

Prepare various presentations as needed.

 

Plan and execute activities for the Major Projects' organization – coordinate and facilitate town halls and all department activities (including Town Halls, team meetings, community services, team building events, etc.).

 

Support ad hoc requests from Major Projects Leadership Team.

 

SKILLS:

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Normal office environment with very occasional travel to field, offsite meetings, trainings, etc.

 

EDUCATION:

  • HS Diploma candidate MUST have a College Degree
  • 2+ years of O&G experience Project Management experience
  • PMP preferred
